Programs designed to help communities grow and thrive.
Hydroponics
HEAL established up a hydroponics teaching lab to promote sustainable agriculture in a water-scarce region. The lab trains locals in hydroponics, a soilless farming technique using nutrient-rich water, cutting water use compared to traditional methods. It tackles arid conditions, boosts food security, and empowers communities with hands-on skills to grow fresh, nutrient-dense crops efficiently
Apiculture
HEAL acquired several bee colonies to promote apiculture in northern Iraq. Our project manager, a certified beekeeper, collaborates with local beekeeping associations to learn traditional methods, share knowledge, and introduce modern practices. The initiative aims to expand, empowering communities with skills to enhance food security, diversify income, and support environmental sustainability through better pollination and crop yields in a water-scarce region.
Educational Workshops
Our team in Northern Iraq offers workshops for individuals seeking to broaden their skills and gain valuable qualifications. These workshops focus on practical skills that can enhance professional development and lead to better employment opportunities.
Critical Aid Distribution
In addition to education, HEAL provides critical aid to those in need, distributing food, blankets, and other essential supplies to people struggling in poverty.
Northern Iraq Programs
HEAL in Northern Iraq offers skill-enhancing workshops and distributes essential aid like food and blankets to those in need.
